Abstract [eng] |
The main objective of the master’s thesis is to develop a methodology for the preparation of consolidated cash flow statement, according to LFAS and IFRS, using direct and indirect methods, to reduce the impact of differences between standards on preparing consolidated cash flow statement, also to create structured reporting forms to minimize the influence of different standards on the decision-making process of information users. The master’s thesis consists of three main parts: a review of scientific literature, the research and its results, and conclusions and recommendations for further research. The literature analysis reviews the requirements for the preparation of cash flow statement, its structure, methods and the main differences between LFAS and IFRS. It also reviews the types of financial statement consolidation, the main consolidation procedures and the provisions for the preparation of the consolidated cash flow statement. Furthermore, an analysis of scientific literature and an overview of the practical preparation and presentation of consolidated cash flow statement are provided. After the literature analysis, it was determined that the consolidated cash flow statement can be prepared using two methods: direct and indirect, disclosing all inflows and outflows of the group, except for intragroup transactions. Also, cash flows must be classified into operating, investing and financing activities. The literature review identified that, when preparing a consolidated cash flow statement according to LFAS and IFRS, it relies on the general principles for the preparation of individual cash flow statements. During the research structured reporting forms and a methodology for the preparation of consolidated cash flow statement were created for direct and indirect methods under LFAS and IFRS. The expert evaluation provided valuable insights into the impact of LFAS and IFRS differences on the preparation of consolidated cash flow statements, which were applied to improve the methodology to enhance its applicability and rationality. In conclusions and recommendations, after summarizing the concepts of the main literature analysis and the results of the research conducted, insights into the application of the developed consolidated cash flow statement methodology and structured reporting forms are presented. |
