Abstract [eng] Physical activity is a key factor in preventing and managing many chronic diseases, including cardiovascular conditions, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and mental health disorders. This thesis explores how healthcare professionals can effectively advise patients on physical activity, using evidence-based strategies tailored to individual health status and needs. The study emphasizes the importance of personalized counseling approaches, such as motivational interviewing, to increase patient motivation, adherence, and long-term engagement in physical activity. It also identifies common barriers—both individual and systemic—that limit physical activity and offers practical strategies to overcome them. By integrating physical activity into routine care, healthcare providers can significantly improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
