Abstract [eng] The aim of the study is to identify the relationships between employee socialization, work engagement, proactive behavior and leader-member exchange. A total of 167 employees participated in the study, including 104 women and 61 men. The participants' ages ranged from 21 to 57 years. They were selected through a non-probability sampling method. The instruments used in the study were the Organizational Socialization Inventory, Work Engagement Scale, Proactive Behavior Scale, and Leader-Member Exchange Quality Scale. The results showed that employee socialization has a positive impact on work engagement, and better relationships with the leader further strengthen this effect. It was also found that work engagement is associated with proactive behavior – when employees are engaged, they not only perform their tasks but also take initiative. While socialization directly influences proactivity, engagement plays an important mediating role, and better leader-member relationships further enhance this process.
