Abstract [eng] A longitudinal study was conducted to explore the occurrence of psychosomatic symptoms and the influencing factors among Lithuanian students. It examined the significance of stress, procrastination, time spent online, and cognitive emotion regulation on the students’ experience of psychosomatic symptoms, and the occurrence of psychosomatic symptoms and stress between the spring and fall semesters. A total of 162 students (132 female, 28 male, 2 other), aged 19 to 42 years (M = 22,25; SD = 3,57), participated. 2 measurements were performed. Participants, reached online via non-random quota sampling, were students. Scales of subjective stress, procrastination, cognitive emotion regulation, patient health questionnaire, and questions regarding time spent online and evaluation of summer vacation were used. Students most often experienced fatigue, low energy, and spent more time online for leisure than for studies. Those with psychosomatic complaints had higher stress and procrastination tendencies, used self-blame and putting into perspective strategies. Female students had more psychosomatic symptoms and ruminated more than males. Students had more psychosomatic complaints before the spring session than in the fall. The study highlights the dynamics of psychosomatic symptoms and other factors among Lithuanian students. Future research should consider the limitations of this study and the additional findings.
