Abstract [eng] |
The thesis consists of 61 pages, 18 tables, 14 figures and 62 references. The main objective of this Master's thesis is to analyse which principles of Total Quality Management (TQM) have the greatest impact on the performance of organisations. The thesis consists of three main parts: the literature review, the study and its results, conclusions and recommendations. The literature review provides an overview of the concept of Total Quality Management, its implementation in organisations, and the performance improvement of companies that have adopted Total Quality Management and applied its principles. The literature analysis has shown that TQM is an integral part of organisations' efforts to improve their performance. The analysis found five key principles of TQM: quality leadership, customer orientation, continuous improvement, evaluation and process management. It also found that the age of the organisation often has an impact on how these principles work. 150 respondents from a wide range of organisations answered the survey questions. The main objective of the questionnaire was to find out which principles of TQM improve the performance of organisations. The results of the survey were statistically processed using SPSS. Cronbach's alpha was used to determine the consistency of the Likert scales; in all cases it was greater than 0.7, indicating the reliability of the data collected. The study revealed that 4/5 of the principles of TQM have a direct impact on the performance of organisations, while only 1/5 are influenced by the moderating effect of age of the organisation. The conclusions and recommendations provide insights into the principles of total quality management after summarising the main aspects of the literature review and the results of the study. The author believes that the application of TQM can lead to better results for organisations. |
