Abstract [eng] The thesis analyses the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela as a practice and as a topic for travel literature. The book "Journey to Santiago de Compostela" by Kristina Stalnionytė was chosen as the object of analysis because of its comprehensive text, in which the author not only narrates her personal journey, but also provides the readers with a lot of practical and historical information. Olga Tokarczuk, in her essay 'An Exercise in Strangeness', argues that travel guides have a secret addressee, which we can recognise from the presentation of certain topics, objects and points of view. Starting from this insight, the work delves into the expression of the discourses in the book, the relationship with the addressee. The second part of the thesis focuses on the practice of pilgrimage, which is reconstructed from the text using Jacques Fontanille's semiotics of practices and the example of J.-M. Floch's analysis of metro-users, which allows us to clarify the meanings produced by practice and their influence on the discourse.
