Abstract [eng] Maternal mortality from postpartum hemorrhage is not only a medical issue but a social one as well, dependent mainly on persistent inequities in global health and socioeconomic development. Research, evidence-based clinical practice, and advocacy are the cornerstones of strategy in decreasing maternal mortality and near-miss cases of postpartum hemorrhage. Multisectoral coordination is crucial in optimizing the usage of resources by avoiding duplication of inputs and activities.
