Knowledge about SQL is becoming the main competence for not just people working with information technologies (IT). Thus, companies need employees who can use database management systems (DBMS) efficiently. For this reason, there is a need to prepare more and more IT professionals, but almost none of the IT professionals can distance him/herself from DBMS and work without the knowledge and practical skills. These days when technologies and DBMS have already been developed for a while there is more than one SQL learning and teaching tool. Each tool is different and has various functions. Many of those tools use different algorithms which optimize learning process. Any evaluation and response system is perfect for learning process. In this document there are algorithms for automatically generated main types SQL sentences and algorithms for responses given by the entered sentence which compare those sentences. In the main SQL clauses the syntax of sentences is evaluated. The result is also evaluated if the sentence is syntactically correct. Algorithms are also used system database tables that are needed to evaluate the results obtained by certain sentences. Algorithm testing uses real students SQL statements and evaluations provided by the lecturer. Usage of these algorithms in DBMS learning platform makes it easier for lecturers and increases response time with students. All this gives incentive to learn more about databases because you need less and less time for preparation. Algorithms written in C# and using Microsoft SQL Server databases. |
