This article analyzes the learning of French as a foreign language in Lithuania by focusing on student motivation as well as the comparison of French-speaking and non-French-speaking classes. We try to answer questions related to children’s desire to learn French: “What are the approaches to teaching foreign languages today? Why do we prefer one type of learning over another? What are the main mechanisms of motivation to learn FLE?.” In this article, we limit ourselves to the study of eighty responses from the survey carried out in French-speaking and non-Frenchspeaking schools in Vilnius in 2024. |
