Abstract [eng] The crime of aggression remains the most contentious and rarely enforced crime in the Rome Statute. Despite the adoption of the Rome Statute in 2002, crime of aggression attained its definition and procedures for enforcement through the Kampala Amendments 2010. However, the crime still faces jurisdictional, political and legal limitations. This research seeks to propose amendments to the Rome Statute for enforcement and accountability of the crime of aggression with emphasis on the perspective and interest of African states, due to the historical relationship of Africa and the International Criminal Court, and the role played by African states in the international criminal justice sphere.
