Politicians and scientists are becoming more involved in improving quality and access to health care services. Planning of human resources in health care plays an important role nowadays. Due to changes in external factors, such as an aging population, outbreaks of new diseases, patients getting younger, new challenges are faced when forecasting demand for healthcare professionals. The new public management suggests the use of complex problem solutions, looking at personnel planning more widely, taking into account not only the need of employees but also the competencies considering the planning of health care professionals in the system. |
