Abstract [eng] The main goal of the dissertation is to identify and analyse prognostic success and failure criteria of infantile hemangioma observation and treatment using infrared thermography. Research tasks were: 1) To determine the diagnostic value of surface temperature measurement of infantile hemangiomas (IH) using infrared thermography; 2) To determine and analyze the peak and average surface temperature values of IHs using infrared thermography; 3) To identify proliferation risk factors of IHs attributed to the observed group of the research and to determine the diagnostic value of such risk factors; 4) To determine the value of infrared thermography in the assessment of treatment effectiveness of IHs. 102 patients with IHs were selected for this perspective biomedical study. Results: 1) the highest surface temperature of an IH (measured by an infrared thermometer) was determined in the proliferating IH subroup; 2) surface temperature averages were statistically significantly different in the subgroups when measuring with an infrared thermographer; 3) a higher surface temperature measured by an infrared thermographer is a prognostic factor of IH proliferation; 4) there was a statistically significant decrease in the surface temperature of treated IH between each visit, indicating in a positive treatment outcome.
