Abstract [eng] |
The dissertation investigates cement excess removal process in implant-supported cement-retained metal ceramic restorations, it analyses different in vitro and clinical factors that influence the quality of cement remnants detection after the delivery of the crowns. The theoretical part of the paper discusses the current clinical recommendations for safe cementation protocol of implant-supported crowns, shows the importance of the implant abutment margin position according to the soft tissues. Also analyses the use of different types of the luting cement and many methods how to minimise the cement excess. The investigative part of the thesis is based on two researches. First in vitro trial “The influence of margin location on the amount of undetected cement excess after delivery of cement-retained implant restorations” and second clinical research “Clinical factors influencing removal of the cement excess in implant-supported restorations”. Among the other conclusions and practical recommendations of the thesis, it is noted that there are many factors influencing cement removal and if clinician chooses this procedure, it should be done with visible margins for cementation. |
