Risk and Safety Factors Associated with Involvement in Cyberbullying among 11-17 Year Old Adolescents The aim of this study was to analyse the differences between cyberbullies and non-cyberbullies, cybervictims and non-cybervictims for individual, relational, risky online behavior factors and to explore the factors that contribute to involvement in cyberbullying. In this study participated 130 students (65 males and 65 females) from Vilnius Tuskulenai gymnasium and Vilnius Jonas Paulius progymnasium. This study was a pilot study of a bigger international project -EU kids online III. The questionnaire from this project was utilized in this study. Findings revealed that cyberbullies were more hyperactive, had more emotional, conduct problems, had higher scores on sensation seeking, had more positive attitude towards the use of violence, experienced less support from family and had more risky online behaviors than non-cyberbullies. Meanwhile cybervictims had more emotional and conduct problems, had higer scores on sensation seeking and had more risky online behaviors than non-cybervictims when non-cybervictims experienced more support from family. Binary logistic regression revealed that adolescents with more positive attitude towards the use of violence were more likely to become cyber bullies when adolescents with more emotional symptoms, problems with peers, exposure to negative internet content were more likely to become cyber-victims.
