Abstract [eng] French Presidential Elections 2017: European Vision in the Campaign Rhetoric The aim of this study is to identify what European visions were proposed by the two main candidates of 2017 French presidential elections – Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen. The study seeks to determine whether visions proposed by the candidates can be assigned to any of the existing categories identified in the academic literature. The main tasks of the study are to: (1) analyze electoral campaigns of E. Macron and M. Le Pen; (2) identify the visions for Europe proposed by the candidates and (3) assign the proposed visions to the already existing categories of European visions. The object of the study is electoral campaigns of E. Macron and M. Le Pen. Both electoral campaigns are examined using content analysis by studying electoral posters, campaign videos, official electoral programmes and final addresses to the voters before the second round of elections.
