The site Gribaša 4 (Varėna district) is situated on the northeastern bank of the former Lake Duba. The site represents some concentrations of artefacts that belong to diferent periods of the Stone Age from the Late Paleolithic to the Late Neolithic. It was found in 1998. In 1999-2000, a total area of 169.25 sq. m was excavated. 14,589 flint artefacts and 1,849 sherds of pots were discovered. The cultural layer was represented by 10-40 cm of thick yellowish sand... |
