| Abstract [eng] |
Using a corpus-assisted analysis method, the dissertation examines syntactic features characteristic of the Lithuanian Eurolect, namely modification (post-modification) and complementation (complementation of transitive verbs), and compares them with corresponding features of national legal Lithuanian. A detailed statistical and qualitative comparative analysis of the corpus data substantiates the existence of the Lithuanian Eurolect. However, the results indicate that its impact on national legal Lithuanian, with respect to the syntactic features under investigation, remains limited and nuanced. |
