Abstract [eng] Introduction. Central nervous system (CNS) lymphomas are rare but highly aggressive forms of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. They are characterized by complex diagnostics, limited treatment options, and often unfavorable clinical outcomes. Due to the properties of the blood–brain barrier and the specific structure of the CNS, effective treatment remains a significant clinical challenge. Despite achieving disease control with immunochemotherapy, a substantial proportion of patients experience relapse. Therefore, strategies aiming to achieve deeper and more durable responses are being explored. One such approach is consolidation therapy with high-dose chemotherapy followed by autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (auto-HSCT). However, there is still a lack of large-scale analyses evaluating the effectiveness and safety of this treatment modality. The aim of this study was to retrospectively assess clinical outcomes of transplantation in patients with CNS lymphoma. Methods. A retrospective cohort study was conducted, analyzing clinical data of patients with CNS lymphoma treated with autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Demographic characteristics, as well as treatment efficacy and safety outcomes, were evaluated. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and survival analysis methods. Results. The study demonstrated that consolidation therapy with autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is an effective and safe treatment strategy for patients with primary CNS lymphoma. Conclusions. Autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is one of the most important treatment strategies for central nervous system lymphoma. To optimize treatment outcomes, individualized patient selection and further large-scale prospective studies are necessary. Keywords.
