Abstract [eng] Objective: Coronary artery aneurysms (CAAs) are rare vascular abnormalities that present with various clinical features. Currently, no standardized treatment guideline has been defined. All conducted treatment methods are oriented toward the patient’s individual profile. This literature review intends to give an overview of current treatment modalities and identify the safety as well as effectiveness of the treatment options. Methods: A literature search was conducted using platforms such as PubMed, Scopus and Google Scholar. Studies from the past 10–20 years were included that addressed the etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of CAAs. Results: The leading cause of CAAs is atherosclerosis, but other congenital and inflammatory conditions also contribute to it. Treatment options include pharmacological treatment, percutaneous interventions and surgery. The decision regarding which option to proceed with depends on the patient’s characteristics. Conclusion: CAA management remains individualized due to limited clinical trials. Further research in this field is necessary to establish clear treatment guidelines.
