Head and Neck Cancer (HNC) is still considered a major global health problem because it usually presents itself with a high incidence of recurrence and associated disabilities [1]. Standard methods of treating the disease (surgical intervention, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy) usually have their limitations because of accumulated toxicity and anatomical barriers [1,2]. Electrochemotherapy or (ECT) is explained as a non-thermal local ablative technique that has emerged as a vital remedy under these adverse circumstances [3]. By utilizing reversible electroporation to increase cell membrane permeability, ECT elevates the cytotoxicity of chemotherapy drugs like cisplatin and bleomycin by up to 8,000-fold [3]. |
