Abstract [eng] This master’s thesis examines the concept of Lithuanian education within the contemporary Lithuanian education system. It aims to reveal how this concept is perceived in the consciousness and experiences of participants in the educational process. The relevance of the study is determined by changes in the education system related to globalization and shifting values. The aim of the research is to explore the process of the formation and transformation of the concept of Lithuanian education, based on the methodology of informed grounded theory. Empirical data were collected through unstructured (open-ended) interviews with individuals working within the education system. The collected material was transcribed and analyzed using open, axial, and selective coding methods. The findings of the study revealed that Lithuanian education is perceived as a multilayered phenomenon encompassing the Lithuanian language, traditions and customs, the relationship with nature, identity, and processes taking place within the family and community. These categories interact with one another and form an integrated structure of the concept of Lithuanian education.
