Principles have been used as guidelines in the development of corporate strategies, decision-making processes in operations and deciding competitiveness in the long run. Research has shown that organizations that pursue sustainability strategies that are central to operations have an upper hand in the execution of strategic change since they are regarded as progressive and better placed to manage volatilities in the operating environment. The object of this thesis is evaluation of the impact of principles of sustainable management on a company’s level. The aim of this study therefore was to explore the impact of sustainable management principles on the a company’s level. The thesis utilized quantitative research methods whereby the data was collected using a survey, analysed using the multiple linear regression in SPSS, and results presented. The findings of this study revealed that social equity does not have direct influence on corporate governance. It was also found that resource efficiency, environmental protection, and transparency and reporting have a direct influence on corporate governance. Social equity was not found to have direct influence on company performance while resource efficiency, environmental protection, and transparency and reporting were found to have a direct influence on performance. Transparency and reporting and resource efficiency were the strongest predictors of both corporate governance and financial performance. |
