The master’s thesis is devoted to the study of suspense mechanisms in the works of Fyodor M. Dostoevsky. Employing an intermediality approach, the research analyzes how the writer, using narrative branching, temporal manipulation, and information asymmetry, as well as by striving to maintain the reader in a state of anxious anticipation, becomes the “director” of the reader’s perception. The study offers a new perspective on the writer’s poetics and contributes to established interpretations of his work. |
