| Abstract [eng] |
Biosensors are practical devices intended to provide a convenient biological measurement workflow. While DNA assays are ubiquitous across most modern laboratories, very few genetic biosensors (genosensors) are currently available. Two genosensors have been developed, showing promise in both diagnostic and environmental applications. The developed approaches are accompanied by supporting research on important design considerations. Beyond practical sensor design, this work also addresses novel fundamental concepts of electrochemical sequencing by isothermal dissociation and contributes to further sensor applications as scientific and diagnostic tools, as well as broader environmental monitoring. |
