The master's thesis is formulated in the problem of the assessment of globalization effect on economic growth in different income countries. There are analysed and systematized various Lithuanian and foreign authors’ literature on economic growth, theories of economic growth and globalization. The impact of globalization on economic growth on a theoretical basis is disclosed in this thesis. Also the methodology for assessing the impact of globalization on economic growth rates is justified. The panel data analysis method was used for the study. The average five years’ growth rate of GDP per capita was used as a dependent variable, independent variables also were used in model. Fixed effects method was used for the calculations. Also dummy variable was included in order to take into account that each country is unique and differences between countries exists. Assessment of globalization effect on economic growth was based on development level of countries. There are proved hypothesis formulated by the author, that the impact of globalization on economic growth varies according to the level of development of the country; that depending on the level of development of the country different dimensions of globalization effects the economy growth. Also one hypothesis was denied that non-liner relation between globalization its dimensions and the rate of economic growth exists. |
