Abstract [eng] Master’s paper analyses the institute of occupational safety and health, its conception, rules of law, regulating functions, responsibilities, rights and relations of the main subjects engaged in control of worker safety and health, and social partnership in Lithuania at national as well as company level. From the analysis of this work follows a conclusion that according to statistics the state of worker safety and health in Lithuania is not improving steadily in spite of the institute being particularly regulated and despite continual contribution from institutions implementing national policy on worker safety and health and controlling the implementation of legislations on occupational safety and health in companies in this country. Paper is comprised of four chapters, some of which are divided into sections. The first chapter examines rules of law regulating occupational safety and health in the workplace. The concepts, definitions of terms and developments of institute are introduced in the first chapter. The second chapter includes analysis of national and company level institutions, their functions in the sphere of management of occupational safety and health. The third chapter discusses control of occupational safety and health, its forms, subjects and their actions in order to ensure implementation of occupational safety regulations. The last chapter includes analysis of social partnership, functions of partners and their tasks in the field of worker safety and health.
