| Abstract [eng] |
Ranked set sampling estimators and their theoretical advantage against simple random sample estimators were shortly introduced in this work. RSS method was applied to agricultural data. There were level-1 and level-2 sample designs and five different sets of method parameters used to simulation. 25000 iterations were performed. The results gained with RSS method were compared to the results of simple random sampling with respect to different types of errors. It was concluded that RSS estimator was more precise than SRS estimator when the correlation between the variable of interest and ranking variable were strong enough and parameters of the method were well-chosen. RSS level-2 estimators were slightly more precise than level-1 estimators in several cases. |
