Abstract [eng] Comparative Analysis of the Drafts on Judicial Conciliation in Lithuania and Foreign Countries People in various countries of the world are actively using the procedures of peaceful dispute resolution. This results in fewer applications to court. Although, since 2005 the law mediation project is being executed in Lithuania, this procedure of coming to agreement is not highly popular and is struggling to gain recognition in the legal system of Lithuania. The statistics of the National Court Administration illustrate this: in 2015 only 123 civil cases out of 200,000 were redirected to be resolved using the method of mediation. Taking this position into consideration and aiming at increasing the popularity of mediation it is purposeful to use the practices of foreign countries for implementation and execution of this procedure. The author is comparing the mediation projects in Lithuania with the ones in foreign countries in this master’s dissertation. The main focus is on the review of the European Union country law creation. A directive which defines the general foundation to the countries members for mediation regulation in civil and commercial cases is valid in the EU countries. Thus, the basic of mediation law regulation in these countries is similar. After conducting the analysis of the European Union state member projects summarizing information has been collected relating to: legal regulation of mediation; qualification requirements to mediators as well as mediation training coordination; financing of mediation and the execution of the decision made at the time of mediation.
