Abstract [eng] Post-traumatic stress reactions and risk factors of survivors of physical violence Agnė Madeikytė, Vilnius, Vilnius university, 2018, 60 p. Every day in various ways we get information about accidents, disasters, cases of cruel criminal behavior with people ect. Physical violence is one of the most often indicated traumatic experiences. Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is one of possible its outcomes. However physical violence, its relations with PTSD and PTSD risk factors are still quite little examined themes. Results of earlier researches suggest that various sociodemographic factors, the number of traumatic experiences and disclosure about trauma might be related with PTSD development in case of physical violence. The aim of this study is to identify PTSD risk factors, while examining relations of mentioned factors and PTSD. This study was conducted at the Vilnius university Center for Psychotraumatology.. The study was attended by 165 (84 men and 81 women) physical violence survivors, whose age varied from 18 to 79 (M=36,43; SD=12,354). Participants were inhabitants of various regions of Lithuania, who have been reached by the method of convenient selection. Instruments used in the study are: form of sociodemographic data, life event checklist (LEC-R), disclosure of trauma questionnaire (DTQ), ICD trauma questionnaire (TTK). The study revealed that PTSD risk factors are: female gender, older age, health subjectively perceived like worse, not having partner or spouse, unemployment, lower income, difficulties in disclosure of trauma. Knowledge about PTSD risk factors can help practitioners to identify PTSD easier.
