Health litreacy was measured by using Health Literacy Measures for Adolescents (HELMA) developed by Ghanbari, Ramezankhani, Montazeri and Mehrabi (2016). After collecting the data, correlation conections, distribution frequencies, predictive factors, and mean comparisons were calculated. In the sample of healthy young adults, has been found health literacy connection with some lifestyle features and subjective health. In a sample of young adults with chronic disease, health literacy relates to the rejection of several harmful eating habits. However, health literacy does not predict lifestyle behavior in both samples. Comparing the lifestyle characteristics and health literacy of healthy young adults and those with chronic disease, differences between some eating habits and subjective health were found.
