In this Master`s thesis is analysed implementation of health policy in the field of disease prevention: challenges and possibilities for children's immunoprofile. A theoretical justification for the implementation of health policy in the field of children`s immunoprofile was carried out in the first part of final project. Based on the insights of various scientists, there is a concept of health policy as concept of public policy, the definition of the implementation of health policy and importance of health protection in the concept of welfare state. Highlighting the importance of immunoprofile is analysed relevance and importance prevention of children`s deseases, the concept of immunoprofile for prevention of infectious deseases and organization and implementation system of immunoprofile in Lithuania. The second part of the work provides a methodology for testing immunoprofile of children in the field of health policy implementation, which presents a theoretical justification of research and describes chosen quantitative and qualitative methods of analysis. In the third part were analyzed various Legal acts of Lithuania Republic, strategical documents of Lithuania Republic and European Union, directives of European Union, analysis of health care programmes. First, was carried out a statistical analysis of secondary data in order to establish the implementation of health policies in the field of diseases prevention, which revealed the existing situation of children`s immunization in the country and tendencies, was done analysis of PEST and SSGG. An empirical survey has been carried out, which revealed immunoprophylaxis situation in Lithuania, planning of health care policy, characteristics of organization, coordination and implementation in the field of diseases prevention, were analyzed strengths and weaknesses of control and cooperation, revealed evaluation the highest and medium-level informants, forecasted ways of development. Analysis of literature and study results confirm that, immunoprofile is essential for infectious deseases prevention. The use of vaccines let to control human morbidity in infectious deseases, eliminate certain deseases, soother difficulties and sequenses of deseases, control mortality, elimination of morbidity and complecations and other. Study found rather sceptical essessment of informants about implementation health care policy nowadays, also revealed hostility of health care professionals and parents in children immunisation, fast-moving anti-vaccination movement ideas, lack of scientific evidences on the new and possible side effects of vaccines. At the end of work are identified opportunities and threats of implementation at health care policy, was provided recommendations for development, how to pay more attention for organisation and implementation children`s immunoprofile, increasing financial and human resources, correcting programmes of healht care policy, increasing the interest parents and health care professionals in children`s immunisation, disseminating scientifically based information on the benefits and necessity of vaccines and other. Findings and recommendations were based on literature, various sources, the European Union and World Health Organisation`s directives, documents, statistical secondary data, PEST , SSGG study results. |
