Abstract [eng] Different ownership structures of media organizations and participation or not participation of shareholders in the making of editorial policy create different conditions for dissemination of media content. The aim of the article is to analyze ownership structures of organizations of Llithuanian national dailies and their influence on content of these dailies. There is a greater probability for editors of media organizations to ensure independent editorial policy when ownership structures are more complex and various. Both depersonalization of shareholders’ interests and independent, socially responsible editorial policy form conditions for objectivity of media content. Such situation is favorable for profitable operation and fulfillment of property interests of media organizations’ owners.
