Abstract [eng] The master's work examines the management of the cervical cancer prevention program in the context of the Lithuanian health care policy. The study consists of three parts. In the first part, a theoretical analysis of scientific literature found that, in order to ensure effective health care, various programmes must be implemented for preventive health screening purposes, one of which is a cervical cancer prevention programme. It is based on the key features of health policy: righteousness, accessibility, acceptability, appropriateness, solidarity, equality, comprehensiveness, free choice, continuity, security. The management process of the cervical cancer prevention program consists of planning, organization, management and control. Developed countries only achieve the objectives of the prevention programme through organised selection, while developing countries have a low vaccination rate against human papillomavirus as one of the weaknesses in prevention. The second part revealed the reasons for the choice of the study methodology, based on quantitative and qualitative research methods, which made it possible to actuate the little-studied and analyzed management of the cervical cancer prevention program. The third part presents the results of the study on the management of cervical cancer prevention program in Lithuania. Quantitative and qualitative testing methods were chosen to demonstrate the objectives of the study. The quantitative study found that young people have low awareness of the prevention programme, as most respondents are not vaccinated against the human papillomavirus. The analysis of respondents' responses identified a fundamental weakness in the management of the programme: a lack of public awareness (of the causes, consequences and prevention programme). A qualitative study was carried out analysing the effectiveness of the cervical cancer prevention program in Lithuania, revealing the opinion of whistleblowers about the management situation and challenges of this program. The study found that it is necessary to improve the program by increasing the number of women who have checked in Lithuania, and to create and implement a unified system (from inviting a woman to inform her about the results obtained). The study identified the areas of improvement needed to realise the objectives: a common database, an organised call and response system, quality control, interinstitutional cooperation, funding and the implementation of EU guidelines.
