Abstract [eng] In scientific literature, the research on satisfaction of business intelligence (BI) information needs is more orientated at the analysis of technological factors, whereas human factors have not been researched sufficiently. Proper organisational culture is increasingly identified as one of the key factors affecting the success of implementation of BI systems and satisfaction of BI information needs; however, this factor has been very little researched. The aim of the dissertation is to identify the factors of satisfaction of BI information needs that promote advanced informing and its result – a high-value product for business – an insight. The research was carried out in the following stages: the analysis of scientific literature sources, the exploratory research (N=50) and the main research (N=207). The research results confirm that the factor of BI culture exists and that it is associated with high results, which reveals the importance of this factor for the success of the BI use in an organisation. The research has demonstrated that BI information needs are closely related with technologies but are not shaped by them; human factors have a greater impact on the formation and satisfaction of BI information needs. The research results have also shown that well-organised information processes and supported human factors in an organisation (cooperation, sharing of information and insights, horizontal communication) lead to greater perceived value for business.
