It can also be observed that the first translator, trying to maintain the original structure, word order and categories, remains closer to the original. D. Lenkauskienė often applies noun-verb transposition. This and other transpositions help to render the meaning of the text and make the translation text more natural and dynamic. The analysis leads to the conclusion that both Platero y yo translators are sensitive to the features of the poetic text and try by all means to render the meaning of the original. However, each translator chooses different paths. Translation texts mostly differ in their syntactic structure. |
