The article examines vertical price fixing - historically one of the most harshly treated vertical restraints. The approach of both EV and VS competition law systems towards such vertical restraints is disclosed, positive and negative effects of such agreements to competition are discussed, focusing mainly on the analysis of economic effects. Considering the arguments related to the economic effects of such agreements, the criticai opinion regarding the policy of the European Commission and Lithuanian Competition Council towards vertical price fixing agreements is presented. |
