The Master’s thesis analyses the improvement of the employee system of motivation measures in a cultural centre. In order to identify the main groups of motivation measures, the concept of motivation, motivation theories and models were analysed. In order to reveal the basic principles of motivation systems of development , an analysis of the motivation systems have been carried out. Empirical research methods reveal the motivation factors used in cultural centres, the totality of which forms a system of motivation measures and identifies factors that motivates the employees of cultural centres. A semi-structured interview with the directors of cultural centres has identified the application of monetary, non-monetary and psychological motivating measures. Cultural centres lack financial resources for monetary and non-monetary motivation factors. Also, there is no career opportunity. New, exceptional motivation factors are identified, which are used by directors of cultural centres to motivate their employees. In order to find out the motivation factors that motivate the employees of the cultural centres, a quantitative study has been carried out which has shown that the employees of the cultural centres can be motivated by the opportunities to implement ideas and demonstrate their abilities, challenges, opportunity to develop and adapt knowledge, flexible working conditions, autonomy, involvement in decision-making, teamwork, good relations with colleagues, career opportunities, evaluation, workplace safety. Motivation decreases when there are no such motivation factors. Also, negative influences on the motivation of employees has monotonically activities, stress and failures. The analysis of the results of the qualitative and quantitative survey has highlighted that motivating measures taken by the directors of cultural centres are positive for the workers ' motivation. Based on the results of the quantitative study, the motivation system of the cultural centres is complemented by motivating measures and methods of implementation. The system of motivation measures is illustrated by a diagram showing the correlation of reasoning measures. Recommendations to the directors of cultural centres have been given. Master's work consists of a summary of Lithuanian and English languages, introduction, 3 chapters, discussion, conclusions, recommendations, literature list and annexes. |
