This article analyses the concept of compensation of average wage for the entire period of involuntary idle time for an employee. As well as this, reductions made by Lithuanian Supreme Court are being scrutinised. Recent changes of Lithuanian Labour Code were addressed also to this problem. However they failed to solve the problem entirely. Therefore suggestions on modification of Lithuanian legal acts, as well as propositions for Lithuanian jurisprudence are made in the conclusions of this article. |
