| Abstract [eng] |
The aim of this article is to analyze the evolution and reception of the institution of fiduciary duties and to identify core distinctive attributes and characteristics of these duties. A historical and legal analysis is carried out in the article that helps to scholarly explain how this institution, which was transplanted also into Lithuanian law, emerged, developed and was interpreted in its origin jurisdictions. Based on this analysis, the current interpretation of fiduciary concepts in Lithuania is assessed in order to formulate a doctrinal background for a further development of the institution of fiduciary duties in Lithuanian law. |
