Conclusion. There was a tendency to improve the lymph node harvest in rectal specimens of rectal cancer patients treated with rectal resection with TME by injecting methylene blue solution into the inferior mesenteric artery. In order to confirm this tendency and to improve statistical reliability of the results extention of the study increasing the numbers of patients in both methylene and control groups is strongly advisable. |
