Abstract [eng] The consumption of animation in contemporary TV and cinema industry is no longer being associated with a group of specific age consumers and the fact that adults are watching the animated films is not stigmatized anymore. The adult audience is ready to consume animation as its own product. As a form of a work for adults, animation creates its attraction through development of critical socio-cultural ideas and humour, which draws the attention of the audience to the work and ensures its popularity and economic power. Meanwhile personal relationships between creators of such a piece and its viewers, in defiance of TV channel’s interests, may be defined by the creation of counterpropaganda and personal resistance to dominant cultural and social norms, which creates a background for the demand of the piece. The phenomenon of counterpropaganda, personal resistance to undesirable persuasion, incorporation and non-incorporation, the role of mass culture in the creation of a one-dimension consumer are disputed in the article, furthermore, popular animated series The Simpsons and South Park are presented and analyzed to reveal the place of their created oppositional ideas in the dominant entertainment industry and their target audience.
