Abstract [eng] This article attempts to provide an overview of the current uses of some expressions and forms directly from Latin in current Spanish in two aspects of communication: oral and written. Everyone knows that Spanish is a language derived directly from Latin, so it's no surprise that persistent forms full of that language are in everyday use and daily life of the Spanish. Furthermore, the article's purpose is to raise the awareness of the reader to the importance of having the correct usage of these expressions to enrich a cultural form of our language, something which is unfortunately lost in a consistent manner for various reasons of social and cultural character. Latin kas always been the language of kings, emperors, nobles, and the highest circles of society over the course of Western history, so there is no doubt that its use provides a higher degree of culture and education in the speaker or writer. The list pretendented refers to the most common latin phrases in current Spanish, as it reflects the title of this article, but at the same time also presents a direct comparison between Latin and Spanish, as well as the muteness of those terms in everyday speech. Also the article is enriched with opinions, suggestions and comments of various linguists of prestige at the international level which gives an empirical and scientific value, so the reader can check data in the bibliographic reference works.
