Abstract [eng] |
The research was carried out from July to October in 2012 in the city of Šiauliai. It was found that 13 kinds of leaf damage were caused by insects. The most common and the most damaging to the city greenery were the following: insect pitting and decomposition of mines. The most widespread are CAMERARIA OCHRIDELLA, which damaged AESCULUS HIPPOCASTANUM, and CALIROA ANNULIPES, which caused harm to all of the observed types of TILIA. The most woody plants including the common insect OCNERIA DISPAR, which violated 11 trees species, almost half of all observed. The most vulnerable is TILIA CORDATA: on which were discovered 4 forms of insects lesions. The most noticeable from insects were: CAMERARIA OCHRIDELLA, CALIROA ANNULIPES, OCNERIA DISPAR, and MELASOMA POPULI, which cause damage. The urban tree health status is mainly influenced by the poor growing conditions, insect damage and fungal-diseases. The pollution of intensive transport and industry provide favourable conditions for diseases and promote tree proneness to various diseases. |
