Abstract [eng] |
The article presents a paradox existing in the public discourse: the play in Lithuania (this applies not only to pre-school education) is a popular educational method (not a single teacher would fail to identify the method in question). In daily life and practical education, didactic, role play, simulation and imitation type play is used most often. It is evident that the play includes integration of a full range of mental processes, and children learn internal discipline and harmony. It is namely the play that enables examination of fundamental/existential questions of life and/or reform human conscience, followed by transformation of conduct in general. This is so because in the process of the play a human spirit makes an intellectual leap and reaps pleasure from it. However, assessment of benefit of the play is often limited to assessment of didactic benefit. When in liberal play, creating itself and its player, more specifically, synthesis of an invidual and environment born in the play appear in the periphery of importance. |
