Abstract [eng] The article analyses the portrayal of St. Mary the Virgin in the 20th century Lithuanian poetry. The selection of texts and the direction of research are determined by a twofold object: landscape and horizon of Christian mysticism. The interaction between mysticism and landscape emphasised in the title means not only the place itself, but also the subject acting in that place, one’s mystical experience. The aim of the article is to cover a wide range of historic, aesthetic and religious poetic field. The research of the poetry of M. Gustaitis, B. Brazdžionis, Antanas Jasmantas, A. Mackus, D. Kajokas and other poets reveals the archetypal image of Mary and poetic individuality of particular authors.
