Abstract [eng] |
The insufficiency of the harmony of social and educational policy has had the influence on the thresholds for social mobility and overcoming strategies of rural children who live in far districts of Northern Lithuania. In sociological research in Lithuania the most attention is paid to the investigations of these children’s as a group identity. It could be observed that rural children have the great feeling of identification with the area of residence, and their migration to other territories not only has influence on the thresholds of their social mobility, but also influence the lack of their ethical identity. These processes are quite intensive in boundary territories (Lithuania-Latvia, Latvia-Byelorussia, Lithuania-Poland). For this reason, if there are no possibilities to enter educational institutions in this territory, part of rural children refuse educational service in Lithuania and enter schools which are near by, but in the territory of other countries. All of this brings new challenges for national safety and preserving of early human resources in rural regions. On the basis of the analysis of scientific literature, documents of school network reorganization, second analysis of empirical data and the research it is possible to confirm that during the school network reorganization the main attention was paid to fi nancial-economical policy of the region and state. The social-cultural needs of the corresponding region, the interfaces between the realization of these needs and the educational institution in this region – school – have became the secondary plan of school network reorganization. Pupils were not the active participants of the processes of school network reorganization, and in the reorganized school they have no possibilities to take active participation in school life too, they do not feel themselves safe, there are no possibilities to keep and develop their natural identity.
