The mixtures of peat are popular, it is the substratum in which one of the components is zeolite. The use of bentonite in the substratum production is also analyzed. The aim of this investigation was to estimate optimal substratum for growing annual flowers and some vegetables. After accomplishing the research of possibilities to use zeolite and its mixture with peat as a substratum (Stamatakis et al, 2001) it was found that when using zeolite less nourishment is lost and the efficacy of mineral fertilizers increases.
