Currently topical possibilities of application of smart grid elements in power systems of public buildings are analy-sed in the paper. Smart grids cost-effectively integrate the behaviour and actions of all the connected users, ensure cost-efficiency of the power system as well as guarantee high service quality and supply reliability. After installation of smart grid elements in power system of Šiauliai national hospital, the collection of informa-tion about energy resources utilization and saving in a computerized control system became more efficient, reliability of the power supply ensured higher quality of services of the hospital. In the future there are plans to install the smart grid accounting devices and additional automation tools in the energy system of the hospital as well as to expand building ma-nagement system by connecting other engineering systems of the building as well. |
