Abstract [eng] The paper deals with the essential changes of socioeconomic and socio-cultural role of the different areas in the post-industrial society, which is more often characterized as the society of knowledge and creativity. While cities in many countries are still growing supposedly engraved and uncontrollably, but their role and internal structure in the postindustrial society varies dramatically. Central parts of cities are becoming as a complex of admin istrative institutions and also are using for the designing and developing of business contacts. Number of residents in city centers is dramatically reduced. Surrounding neighborhoods, which until recently have been densely populated, becomes uncomfortable and less suited for permanent residence of modern business people. Industrial enterprises and logistics centers are increasingly being established in suburban areas. Modern manufacturing facilities are often built near the central traffic arteries, and residents of old districts, in last decades used for apartment houses, are moving into private homesteads, located in new suburban areas and small towns. New hotels and shopping malls are establishing in suburban areas. Large industrial complex es are increasingly being replaced with flexible branches, departments and associations. [...].
