Abstract [eng] |
Those short stories that depict creation of the new Soviet life are related to the features of Soviet normative literature. Such short stories include “Abišalė” (The Bilateral) by Juozas Baltušis, “Daina” (A Song) by Petras Cvirka, “Barvainio sodyba” (Barvainis’s Homestead) by Augustinas Gricius. Emotionality of narration, vivid comparisons, constant images (the Sun, the red flag, a song) underline the advantage of the new life and a perspective of the future. A closer look at the image of the Sun in Lithuanian literature of the 40s-50s of the 20th century shows that the image becomes an illustration of common socialist laws in these literary works. |
